WHO WE ARE

Worth Division is made up of two Districts - Copthorne and Selsfield.

Worth Division is made up of two Districts - Copthorne and Selsfield.  The Districts cover
villages situated between the towns of East Grinstead and Crawley and embody about 350 girl members and 50+ volunteer adult leaders including young leaders aged 14-18 years old.

Copthorne District has seven units: 1st and 2nd Copthorne Rainbows, 1st and 2nd Copthorne Brownies, 1st and 2nd Copthorne Guides and 1st Copthorne Rangers.

Selsfield District has nine units:
1st Crawley Down Rainbows, 1st Crawley Down Brownies, 1st and 2nd Crawley Down Guides, 1st Turners Hill Brownies, 1st Turners Hill Guides, 1st West Hoathly Rainbows, 1st West Hoathly Brownies, Selsfield District Senior Section and Crawley Down hope to open a second Rainbow unit after Easter 2016. 

Many leaders also attend Trefoil Guild meetings in East Grinstead.

WHAT WE DO

Division, District and Unit:

Outdoor activities e.g., abseiling at Blacklands Farm, camp fire singing, sailing at Weir Wood, hiking and outdoor cooking

Personal development learning arts, crafts and entertaining others at special events like Thinking day – a special Guiding day of remembrance

Outings and visits such as ice skating, theatres, Chessington World of Adventures and trips to  Guiding national centres and Snowdon

Residential camps, holidays and sleepovers staying at campsites, youth hostels, approved halls,  including a weekend in Disneyworld Paris and overnight on board HMS Belfast

Joint events with the Scouts for instance: marathon hike/overnight camp, bowling and a bi-annual  Gang Show at The Hawth, Crawley 

Copthorne Joint Scouts and Guides Gang Show will be held at The Hawth, Crawley on Saturday 19th November 2016.

All units are run by volunteers and we always need more help to be able to offer more great opportunities to the girls and young women in our division.
